- Intrum has increased the number of participating banks with eight new international lenders and also secured improved terms to further match our capital structure ambition. We welcome the additional lending banks to Intrum and we look forward to working with them, said Anders Engdahl, CFO of Intrum.

In addition, Intrum has completed a Backstop Facility of SEK 2bn to cover Intrum's Commercial Paper Program. The facility has a maturity of one year containing two extension options of one year each and is provided by Intrum's Nordic banking partners.

Intrum has presented the seventh yearly edition of the European Consumer Payment Report.

The results in the report show that bills are continuing to outpace the general income, increasing financial stress among consumers. In households with children (parents), 48% are uttering the same concerns.

Intrum has grown substantially in recent years, especially in southern Europe. To reflect this, a third business line will be created consisting of Intrum's key southern European markets in parallel with the existing "Credit Management Services" and "Portfolio Investments".

Under the terms of the transaction, Intrum has acquired Piraeus Bank's platform for servicing non-performing loans and consolidated it into a newly established company, which will be named Intrum Hellas. Intrum owns 80 per cent of the shares in Intrum Hellas, with Piraeus Bank owning the remaining 20 per cent. 

As part of the transaction, Intrum Hellas has entered into agreements that include the servicing of Piraeus Bank's Non-Performing Exposures (NPEs) and Real Estate Owned assets (REOs) on 10-year initial terms.

Third quarter, July-September 2019:
  •  Consolidated net revenues increased to SEK 3,786M (3,180).

  •  Adjusted EBIT increased to SEK 1,476M (1,095).

  •  Net debt / cash EBITDA amounted to 4.4x (3.8x).

  •  Portfolio investments amounted to SEK 831M (927). Return on portfolio investments increased to 15 per cent (13).

  •  Net profit increased to SEK 579M (396), and earnings per share increased to SEK 4.26 (3.02).

  •  Cash flow from operating activities increased to SEK 1,306M (1,214).

Proceeds will be used to refinance EUR 750 million of Intrum's outstanding EUR 1,500 million fixed rate notes due 2022, which are callable at 101.375 per cent. The excess proceeds will be used to repay the RCF. With this issue Intrum has achieved a level maturity profile, which has been an important objective of the short to medium term refinancing strategy.
