Bonava acquires land in Steninge, Sigtuna Municipality, just outside Stockholm, from Gediminas Property AB. The transaction amounts to SEK 92 million in underlying property value. There is a zoning plan for the land and Bonava is planning to construct 77 Nordic Swan eco-labelled single family homes. The first housing units are expected to be completed and handed over to the customer in the third quarter of 2023.

- Our single-family homes are both attractive and cost-effective, while interest in single-family housing has increased during the pandemic. The land acquisition will strengthen our position in the Stockholm area and contribute to our continued growth in the single-family housing segment, says Fredrik Hemborg, Business Unit President, Bonava Sweden.

The neighbourhood is located at Steninge Palace, with proximity to Lake Mälaren, recreational spaces and close to Stockholm-Arlanda Airport. Bonava is already constructing 29 single-family homes in the area, all of which have been sold, and is planning to start the production of a further 36 single-family homes using the same building system.
