The South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority (Helse Sør-Øst RHF) has
selected Omda's oncology medication management solution, Omda Cytodose, a system
for safe and efficient cancer treatment processes. Omda will now provide
oncology medication management software to regional health authorities serving
90% of Norway's population.
Helse Sør-Øst RHF is the largest of Norway's four health regions and is
responsible for specialist health services in the southeastern part of Norway.
It owns eleven health trusts providing specialist health services for a
population of 3.1 million people. Omda Cytodose will accommodate oncology care
across all the health trusts in the region.
Omda Cytodose is designed to enable healthcare teams to maintain high-quality,
coordinated care throughout the patient journey. This is particularly important
in areas where patients move between hospitals for treatment. The solution
includes a web-based pharmacy module for the medication production process
customised to each individual patient, a key improvement for all of the hospital
pharmacies in the region. Production orders can also be integrated with
compounding robots, alleviating pharmacists of some manual workload, and
reducing errors.
