Bonava is selling a rental project to Lansa Fastigheter AB. The transaction comprises 162 rental apartments situated in the new Öster Mälarstrand district of Västerås, Sweden. Production in the project is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2020, and it will be recognised in profit in the fourth quarter of 2022. The parties have also signed a declaration of intent regarding an additional rental transaction, which is expected to be concluded in 2020.

Bonava is starting the production of 212 rental apartments in Sigtuna. In the first quarter of 2020, an agreement was signed for the sale of the project, subject to a building permit, to Mästerbo Fastighets AB, a company jointly owned by Estea and CBRE Global Investors. The building permit has now gained legal force and production can thus commence according to plan. The sale is recognised in the second quarter of 2020 and the project will be handed over in stages to the customer and recognised in profit from the first quarter of 2022.

The board of Transparency International Sweden has resolved to appoint Bonava to its Corporate Supporters Forum. The aim of the forum is to improve knowledge sharing among large Swedish companies to prevent corruption and promote transparency, accountability and integrity.

Bonava regularly updates the market with relevant information on the effects of COVID-19. Since the most recent COVID-19 update, dated 9 April 2020, we have seen a cautious recovery in pace with the easing of restrictions in countries where Bonava is active. However, the situation is challenging and Bonava expects lower sales and disruptions to its production chain to have an impact on the housing units delivered in the second quarter.
