Goodbye Kansas Group's net sales for the second quarter increased by 8 percent compared to the first quarter this year. However, net sales and EBITDA for the quarter compared to pro forma for the same period last year are still negatively affected by the pandemic.

In addition, the board of directors intends to resolve on a fully guaranteed rights issue of approximately SEK 100 million before deduction of transaction costs (the “Rights Issue”) to be decided based on an Extraordinary General Meeting (“EGM”) to be held on or around 16 September 2021.

Goodbye Kansas Studios has delivered Visual Effects (VFX) for the first season of Netflix’s recent crime drama series, The Irregulars.

Serving as the primary visual effect’s vendor across all eight episodes for the production, Goodbye Kansas contributed 229 shots and 20 assets for the show, produced at their studios in London and Stockholm. The team was led by GBK VFX Supervisors Jim Parsons (London) and Joel Lindman (Stockholm) in collaboration with Overall VFX Supervisor, Richard Briscoe.

Goodbye Kansas Studios is currently producing a series of short films for Rovio’s mobile game “Small Town Murders” to help promoting the game on social media. The project is the first collaboration between Rovio and Goodbye Kansas Studios, and it is in many ways a perfect match.

James Prosser is promoted Managing Director for Goodbye Kansas Studios in London. James was previously Studio Director and Executive Producer and has been with the company since the inception of the UK studio in 2016. Martin Hobbs, currently MD for the London operations, is heading over to another external position.

James began his career at MPC where credits included: “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian”, “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban”, “10,000 BC” and “Corpse Bride”.

Goodbye Kansas Group enters a partnership with Keywords Studios and Electric Square, a Keywords Studio, to finalize the production of the location based mobile game Hello Kitty AR: Kawaii World. Keywords Studios is an international provider of technical and creative services to the video games industry. Goodbye Kansas will be responsible for the marketing and launch plan approaching the game's launch in 2022.

During the quarter, we continue to see effects of the pandemic compared to the same period last year that was completely unaffected by the pandemic. Film and TV production has not yet started in the first few months of this year. However, we see an improved result compared to the fourth quarter of 2020, which shows that our development continues in the right direction. Approaching the second half of the year, we have a very strong and internationally diversified sales pipeline.
