Kysyntä oli hyvää energia, agri, medtech, puolustus sekä konevalmistus puolella. Heikkoutta näkyy edelleen rakentamisen ja autoteollisuuden asiakkaiden parissa. Ja viimeisenä nostona: kesällä divestoitiin Yhdysvalloista pieni valmistusyksikkö. En ole ihan varma, mutta tämä saattoi olla viimeinen divestoitava kohde, josta yhtiö halusi eroon vuonna 2023 julkistetun strategian mukaisesti. Nyt Bufabin liiketoiminta koostuisi vain C-osien hankinnasta, maahantuonnista ja jakelusta (sekä täydentävistä niche-yhtiöistä). Oon omistanut tätä kohta viitisen vuotta ja tyytyväisenä jatkan kyydissä. Ketjun otsikon mukaisesti Bufabilla menee tylsän tasaisesti, vaikkakin maailman matala teollinen aktiviteetti on iskenyt negatiivisesti tilauskantaan ja liikevaihtoon. Positiivista on se, että yhtiö on saanut nostettua bruttokatetta ja laskettua ND/EBITDA tasoa viime vuosina. Vital-yritysosto tosin nosti tasoa hieman.

Yhtiön liiketoiminta on kärsinyt yleisestä markkinoiden heikkoudesta, mutta kuulemma käännettä parempaan on nähtävissä. Markkinat ovat olleet yllättävän pitkäjänteisiä, kun juuri taidettiin saavuttaa ATH. Tulosperusteisesti ollaan jossain kaukana 30 paremmalla puolen Yhtiön suorittaminen on sinänsä ollut vahvaa. GM paranee edelleen, joka antaa hyvää vipua tulokseen, kunhan volyymit kasvavat. Pari tuotantolaitosta meni myös juuri myyntiin, joten entistä enemmän ollaan ihan puhtaasti trading-yhtiö. Periaatteessa tuo on hyvin looginen kehityssuunta. Yhtiöllä on omasta takaa ollut tuotantoa ja sitä on tullut lisää yritysostojen myötä. Tuotantoa on pystytty pitämään yllä hyvillä käyttöasteilla säätelemällä ulkoistettujen ostojen määrää ja keskittymällä korkeamman lisäarvon tuotteisiin Liiketoiminnan kasvettua tavaraa saadaan ostettua edullisemmin ja paremmin ehdoin, joka tuli koronan jälkimainingeissa jo selväksi. Liekö oma tuotanto enää niin tarpeellista ja kustannustehokasta liiketoiminnan hiljalleen skaalautuessa

Tänne ei vielä oltu linkattu Bufabin viimeisintä CMD:tä, joka pidettiin joulukuussa. Uudet taloudelliset tavoitteet ovat vuodelle 2026. Harkitsevat valmistavien yhtiöiden myyntiä, jotta focus olisi tukkutoiminnoissa. Itse olen ollut omistajana muutaman vuoden. Tässä jotenkin kiinnostaa äärimmäisen tylsä toimiala ja sen konsolidaatiomahdollisuudet. Taloudelliset tavoitteet: Raised profitability target In March 2021, Bufab presented new financial targets relating to profitable growth, profitability, dividend and financial stability for the period until 2025, where the financial target relating to profitability was set to be achieved by 2023 at the latest. In light of Bufab’s positive EBITA margin development during 2021-2023, the growth opportunities and the updated strategy, the Board of Directors has decided to adopt a raised financial target relating to profitability in accordance with the below: Profitability  Achieve an annual operating profit (EBITA) margin of 14 percent by 2026 at the latest (previously 12 percent by 2023 at the latest). The other financial targets and dividend policy remain unchanged in accordance with the below and shall apply until further notice. Profitable growth  Average annual increase of net sales by 10 percent and of earnings per share by 15 percent, through both organic growth and acquisition. Financial stability  Net debt in relation to operating profit before depreciation and amortization (ND/EBITDA) shall normally be in the range of 2-3x. Dividend Policy  Dividend of 30-60 percent of annual net profit.
