Changes in the Suominen Leadership Team
As we continue to transform Suominen and strengthen our performance, we are further developing the capabilities and ways of working needed to execute our strategy and realize the full potential of our business.
To strengthen our strategic execution and the leadership needed to drive this change, we are making changes in the Suominen Leadership Team, effective September 17, 2026.
Eevaleena Mäki-Uuro, Senior Vice President, Commercial Excellence and Strategic Projects, has been appointed Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer (CSTO) and member of the Suominen Leadership Team. In her new role, Eeva will report to President and CEO Charles Héaulmé.
Eevaleena brings international experience in strategic and transformation projects from both management consulting and the process industry. Prior to Suominen, she worked in strategy, sustainability and business leadership roles at Huhtamäki. Her background also includes management consulting at Bain & Company.

Anni Luoma, General Counsel, has been appointed Chief Legal Officer and member of the Suominen Leadership Team. In her new role, Anni will report to Charles Héaulmé.
Anni joined Suominen as Legal Counsel in 2022 and was promoted to General Counsel in 2024. Prior to Suominen, she worked at Neles, currently part of Valmet, as well as at Metso and Metso Outotec.
“Anni works effectively and closely with our leadership team and the Board of Directors on legal and compliance matters, and I am happy to welcome her to our team”, says Charles Héaulmé.
Suominen’s current Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer (previously also acting as Interim General Counsel) Marika Väkiparta has decided to leave the company to pursue other professional endeavors. She will continue with Suominen until the end of October 2026, focusing on strategic projects.
“Marika has played an important role in shaping and advancing Suominen’s transformation. Her contribution has been instrumental in establishing the direction and foundations for our Full Potential Program and in driving several strategic initiatives across the company. I would like to thank Marika for her commitment, leadership and contribution to Suominen. The work she has done provides a strong foundation for us to continue our transformation and improve our performance”, says Charles Héaulmé.
