During 2015-2017 he worked in the management of the German vehicle manufacturer MAN, as Global Responsibly for the group's own dealer and service network. During 2012-2015 he was the President and chief executive officer of the Swedish machine manufacturer Ålö. Mr Schlyter previously worked at Scania for 26 Years, including as Senior Vice President for Latin America Asia, Southern Africa and Australia and CEO For Scania's company in Germany and Austria.
