Historia kutsuu mahtisuvun mallia ”veren meritokratiaksi”.                             Viime kuukausina suvun sisällä on tapahtunut hiljaista liikehdintää. Nykyinen viidennen sukupolven johto lähestyy eläkeikää, ja uusia kasvoja on nostettu suvun yhtiöihin avainpaikoille.

For 2025, adjusted net asset value growth amounted to 14 percent and total shareholder return to 15 percent, compared to 13 percent for the SIXRX. Listed Companies generated a total return of 6 percent. For 2025, the total return amounted to 22 percent. Based on estimated market values, the total return for Patricia Industries, including cash, amounted to 1 percent (1 percent excluding cash), driven by earnings growth and multiple expansion, offset by negative currency impact. For 2025, the total return amounted to -9 percent (-10 percent excluding cash). Within Patricia Industries, reported sales growth for the major subsidiaries amounted to -5 percent. Organic growth in constant currency amounted to 5 percent. Reported EBITA declined by 9 percent and adjusted EBITA declined by 6 percent, impacted by negative currency effects and costs related to restructuring. Mölnlycke reported organic sales growth of 3 percent in constant currency, with Wound Care growing 5 percent. The profit margin increased, driven by lower cost and product mix, partly offset by negative currency impact, and tariff costs. The value change of Investments in EQT was 8 percent. Total net cash flow to Investor amounted to SEK 1,215m. For 2025, the value change amounted to 15 percent and the net cash flow to Investor was SEK -2,351m, including the SEK 4,492m investment in Fortnox. Leverage was 2.1 percent as of December 31, 2025 (1.2 percent as of December 31, 2024). Gross cash amounted to SEK 27,119m and the average maturity of Investor AB’s debt portfolio was 9.2 years. Hyviä ajatuksia ja lisään perään vähän omiani. Investor mielestäni odottelee paikkoja aika kärsivällisesti kuten Buffet tekee. Portfoliohan kasvaa aika tasaisesti, sitä on vain välillä hiukan hankala huomata, kun sijoituksia tehdään Patrian ja EQT:n kautta. Mutta esimerkkinä 2025 Investor AB sijoitti Foxsnoxiin EQT:n kautta EQT X rahastolla. Yhtiö toimii ankkurisijoittajana rahastossa. En nyt tiedä satsattiinko Investorin rahoja tuossa vaiheessa lisää rahastoon, mutta sijoitus tehtiin joka tapauksessa. Toisena esimerkkinä portfolioon on tullut Wärtsilä 2011. Yhtiö on thenyt lisäsijoituksia Atlas Copcoon ja Ericssoniin. Mutta tuossa hyvin tuotiin esille monen yhtiön optimistinen arvostus, joten Investorkin voi olla kohtuullisen varovaisesti liikkellä. Omana sijoitusaikana on tapahtunut sellainen, että yhtiö satsasi lisää SAAB:iin sen ollessa aikeuksissa ja itseä satsaus vähän häiritsi, kun yhtiön meno ei kovin hyvältä vaikuttanut. Nyt se huonommalta vedolta vaikuta.

Tasaisesti ostaminen toimisi Investorissa erinomaisesti. Jos sijoittaa enemmän kerralla, hyviä hetkiä ovat olleet ainakin ne, kun pörssissä hermoillaan. Tuo mittakaava asia on kiinnostava. Investor sanoo tavoittelevansa 8% vuosittaista kokonaistuottoa. Ei tuokaan olisi lainkaan hassumpaa. On helppoa olla vähän skeptinen, että tämä aiempi (ja ihan huikea!) 15% taso säilyy, kun yhtiö tästä vielä pari, kolme kertaa tuplaa kokonsa. Ainakin jos Berkshiren esimerkkiä uskomme, tahti voi tasaisesti hiipua. Olisi mielenkiintoista nähdä, miten yhtiön kulissien takana tilannetta lähestytään ja mitä pelikirjaan on kirjoitettu. Minkälaisia ne ongelmat sitten olisi? Ainakin uusien sijoitusten tekemisessä voi olla paljon vaikeampaa tehdä merkityksellisen kokoisia sijoituksia, vaikka löytyisi muuten spekseiltään houkutteleva sijoituskohde. Miten saa ostettua 30-50 miljardin köntsäleen salkkuun? Ja hintaan, jolla köntsä on myös arvoa luova? On kyseessä sitten kokonainen firma tai osa isosta firmasta. Näitäkin varmasti on mutta kuinka paljon ja kuinka usein? Pitääkö odotella “pörssiromahdusta” ja yrittää sitten iskeä kiinni, kuten Buffett näyttää ainakin osittain tekevän rahasäkkinsä kanssa. Jos on ollut hyvä kehittämään pienempiä firmoja, päteekö samat lainalaisuudet enää paljon isommassa koossa? Entä onko jollain peliliikkeellä mahdollista lisätä yhtiöiden lukumäärää Investorin portfoliossa, että voi edelleen sijoitella pienempiin köntsiin? Se varmasti vaatisi Investorin organisaation kasvattamista, koska managereita (osaavia sellaisia) tarvitaan lisää. Mutta toisaalta, miksi näin ei voisi toimia samalla kun NAV kasvaa? Tällaisia tulee nopeasti pohdittuna mieleen.
