Precise Biometrics launches next-generation biometric matching algorithm
Precise Biometrics, a pioneer in biometrics and cybersecurity, is introducing its fifth-generation AI-driven biometric matching engine – BioMatch Vizo – for fingerprint recognition. Powered by a state-of-the-art neural network architecture, Precise’s engineers have taken BioMatch’s already leading performance to the next level — delivering significantly higher accuracy, stronger security, and an even more seamless user experience. With this generation, BioMatch sets a new performance benchmark for biometric authentication. It also positions Precise for future growth, including expansion into smaller ultrasonic sensor sizes targeting the high-volume mid-range mobile phone market.
Early results indicate double-digit performance improvements, with the solution handling diverse user demographics, environmental conditions, and sensor sizes even better than previous generations. The upgraded network architecture also amplifies the performance of Precise’s latest-generation anti-spoofing and liveness technology, introduced last year, enabling even stronger protection against fraud and presentation attacks.
For sensor manufacturers and OEMs, the improved BioMatch Vizo offers:
- Higher accuracy and robustness across a broad range of sensors, form factors, and environmental conditions
- Stronger security foundations with increased resistance to spoofing, presentation attacks, and other fraud attempts
- Shorter time-to-market, driven by the new architecture and supported by Precise’s advanced data collection and synthetic data generation capabilities
For the end user, the improvements translate directly into faster authentication, increased security, and a more seamless daily experience — whether unlocking a mobile device, accessing a vehicle or building, or verifying identity in large-scale systems.
The first release will be delivered to customers in late 2025, followed by broader availability in early 2026.
Joakim Nydemark, CEO of Precise Biometrics, commented:
“This next-generation matching engine marks a significant leap forward in performance, accuracy, and speed. With this new neural network software architecture, we ensure competitiveness in high-volume segments and position Precise for the future.”
