Pitäiskin ottaa projektiksi lukea koko ketju alusta alkaen. Jonnet ei muista miten muuan Aston Livingstone käytti liikennevaloasteikkoa tulkitessaan meille maallikoille, oliko julkaistu/löydetty uutinen hyvä/neutraali/huono. Jonnet (eikä Veetit) ei myöskään muista miten Seeing fan-boys vs. smart fan-boyssit kävivät tunteellisia vääntöjä foorumilla ja twitterissä. Nuoriso ei myöskään muista Arimatti  Alhangon puheluita Seeingin erittäin nihkeälle toimarille.

Tämä järjestelmä on eri kuin mitä pakolliseksi tulee kesästä 26 alkaen. DMS perustuu kuljettajan valvontaan kameran kautta, ei käden liikkeisiin. DDAW (Perusseuranta): Pakollinen 2024. Tämä on se järjestelmä, joka on jo monissa autoissa olemassa ja joka antaa yleisen varoituksen väsymyksestä tai epätasaisesta ajosta. ADDW/DMS (Edistynyt Seuranta): Tulossa 2026. Tämä järjestelmä vie valvontaa pidemmälle ja pystyy tunnistamaan suoraan tarkkaamattomuuden (puhelimeen katsominen, syvä mietiskely, tms.), mikä vaatii silmien ja kasvojen seurannan kameran avulla.

Systeemihän on sinänsä erittäin tyhmä, jos et suoralla tiellä kääntele rattia koko ajan ees-taas ja aja autolla laidasta laitaan keinotekoisesti, herjaa että älä nukahda. EU-sääntely esimerkki.

Aikaisemmin ennusteista/odotuksista on jääty sen takia, että OEM:t ovat olleet hitaita ottamaan teknologiaa käyttöön. Nyt ensi vuoden poikkeuksellista kasvua selittää suurimmalta osin Euroopassa kesällä pakolliseksi tuleva kuljettajan seuranta. Jokaisessa myytävässä autossa pitää olla tuo teknologia sisällä. Kun aiemmin edistynyt kuljettajan seuranta on painottunut matalamman volyymin premium-hintaluokkaan, jatkossa se pitää löytyä myös edullisemmista massamalleista. Tämä kaikki tarkoittaa sitä, että Smartin DW backlog alkaa vihdoin purkautua isossa mittakaavassa. Ennusteet siis vaikuttavat hyvinkin realistisilta.

Mitäs mieltä Jukka on noiden ennusteiden realistisuudesta?

Välillä kun numerotaulukoista on vaikeaa erottaa muutosta, niin kuva kertoo enemmän kuin tuhat sanaa. Tässä kuvassa Smartin liikevaihto, jossa kaksi viimeistä palkkia ennustettu liikevaihto vuosille 2026-2027. Kun yhtiön bruttomarginaali on ~90 %, niin hyviä asioita pitäisi tapahtua myös alimmalla rivillä.
