Tomra Systems is a technology company that develops products for automated returns management. The company's expertise lies in the development of sensor-based solutions. The technology is used in product sorting for deposit systems, sorting of waste and in sorting of ores and minerals in mining. The products are used by several customers in different industries. Tomra Systems was founded in 1972 and is headquartered in Asker, Norway.

Lyhykäisyydessä kyse siis recycling-liiketoimintayksiköstä henkilöstövähennykestä (n.175 työpaikkaa), jolla tavotellaan 16 miljoonan oiron vuotusia säästöjä, sekä EBITA-marginaalin nousua takas yli 20% tasolle vuoteen -27 mennessä. Tälle on kyllä kieltämättä tarvetta koska aika rumasti jääty tavoitteista ja odotuksista recyclingin osalta, kun miettii minäkälaista kuvaa maalattiin segmentille viimesimmässä CMD:ssä pari vuotta sitten!

Tomra Systems ASA (OB:TOM) on norjalainen Oslon pörssissä noteerattu teknologiayhtiö, joka tunnetaan parhaiten pullonpalautusautomaateistaan. Yhtiö perustettiin vuonna 1972, ja sen liiketoiminta jakautuu nykyisin kolmeen segmenttiin: Collection, Recycling ja Food. 1. Collection  Tomran tunnetuin ja historiallisesti merkittävin liiketoiminta-alue. Se kattaa juomapakkausten palautusautomaatit (RVM:t) ja niihin liittyvät ohjelmistot sekä palvelut. Collection tuottaa vakaata kassavirtaa ja on markkinajohtaja monissa maissa, erityisesti Euroopassa ja Pohjois-Amerikassa.  2. Recycling  Recycling-segmentti keskittyy materiaalien lajitteluratkaisuihin (optinen tunnistus, sensoriteknologia) erityisesti muovi-, metalli- ja jätevirtoihin.  3. Food  Food-liiketoiminta tarjoaa lajittelu- ja laadunvalvontaratkaisuja tuottajille, pakkaajille ja jalostajille, (luokitus-, lajittelu-, kuorinta- ja analyysitekniikoiden muodossa)  Viimeisin pörssitiedote Q3/25 link (vertailuna Q3/24)   TOMRA-konsernin liikevaihto oli 306 MEUR (3Q24: 326 MEUR), laskua 6 %   Liikevaihto laski Collection-liiketoiminnassa 5 %, Recyclingissa 32 % ja Foodissa 2 %   Bruttokate 44 % (3Q24: 43 %)   Liiketoiminnan kulut (oikaistuna erityiserillä) olivat 104 MEUR (3Q24: 97 MEUR)   Neljänneksellä ei ollut erityiseriä (3Q24: -0,5 MEUR)   EBITA (oikaistuna erityiserillä) oli 30 MEUR (3Q24: 44 MEUR)   Osakekohtainen tulos, EPS (oikaistuna erityiserillä), oli 0,05 euroa (3Q24: 0,07 euroa)   Liiketoiminnan rahavirta oli 64 MEUR (3Q24: 99 MEUR)   Recycling-liiketoiminnan tilauskertymä laski 30 % ja oli 42 MEUR (3Q24: 61 MEUR), ja tilauskanta laski 19 %:iin 109 MEUR:oon (3Q24: 134 MEUR)   Food-liiketoiminnan tilauskertymä kasvoi 6 % ja oli 77 MEUR (3Q24: 73 MEUR), ja tilauskanta kasvoi 21 % ja oli 138 MEUR (3Q24: 114 MEUR)
