Wästbygg Group’s CEO leaves the company
Wästbygg Gruppen AB (publ) announces today that Jonas Jönehall is leaving the role of CEO. The decision is made in agreement with the board and follows a period of significant challenges for the company. Jonas Jönehall leaves his role as of February 6.
- Jonas has led the company through a difficult period and has worked hard to adapt the group to prevailing market conditions. The board thanks him for his efforts and commitment, says Cecilia Marlow, chairman of the board.
The board is now starting the process to recruit a new CEO who will lead Wästbygg Group through the next phase. During the transition period, Patrik Mellgren will assume the role of acting CEO, as of February 7. Patrik has extensive experience from construction and project development as well as from listed companies and currently runs his own business.
- I have been employed in the group for ten years, of which as CEO since 2022. It has been an honor to lead Wästbygg Group during these three years and work together with our fantastic employees. We have faced great challenges, and although the results have not been what we wanted, I am proud of the efforts we have made. I am convinced that the company now has a good starting position to reverse the trend, says Jonas Jönehall.
