Pharmaceutical company AcuCort announces that its Zeqmelit® trade mark has been granted protection in Ukraine. The decision was made by the Ukrainian trade mark authority.
The trade mark protection is strategically important during AcuCort's ongoing commercialisation phase. Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, with which AcuCort entered into a commercial partnership agreement in January 2026, will be responsible for the distribution, marketing and sales of Zeqmelit® in Ukraine.
"Securing trade mark protection for Zeqmelit® in Ukraine is an important addition to our international trade mark strategy. Strong intellectual property protection creates favourable conditions for our commercial partner Glenmark as the product is established on the Ukrainian market," says Jonas Jönmark, CEO of AcuCort.
The protection resulting from the registration will remain in force in accordance with the dates applicable to the International Registration and will be renewed in connection with the renewal of the International Registration on 9 January 2033.
Zeqmelit® has been registered as a trade mark in all member states of the European Union, as well as in Norway, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Australia, India, Israel, China, Japan, the United States, Canada and now Ukraine.
