Multiconsult ASA (Oslo: MULTI) refers to the stock exchange announcements
published on 26 March 2026 and 30 April 2026 regarding the court ruling related
to the legal dispute concerning the Sotra Link project.
The statutory time limit for appeal of the Oslo District Court judgment of 26
March 2026 has now expired. Sotra Link Construction JV ANS has submitted an
appeal to Borgarting Court of Appeal which is limited to merely two matters.
Parts of the judgment that have been appealed
The appeal is limited to the following parts of the judgment:
· the damages for cancellation (NO: avbestillingserstatning) awarded to
Multiconsult Norge AS, amounting to approximately NOK 84 million, and
· the full legal and internal costs awarded to Multiconsult Norge AS,
amounting to approximately NOK 31.4 million.
Parts of the judgment that have not been appealed and are final
Sotra Link Construction JV ANS has not appealed the following parts of the
judgment:
· the awarded remuneration for performed services, including VAT, together
with statutory default interest, amounting in total to approximately NOK 106
million, and
· the dismissal of Sotra Link Construction JV ANS' counterclaims against
Multiconsult Norge AS.
As previously announced, the remuneration and related interest have been paid in
full, and these parts of the judgment are now finally settled.
Payments received and security for appealed amounts
Multiconsult Norge AS has also received a payment of approximately NOK 15.7
million, corresponding to 50% of the awarded legal and internal costs.
Notwithstanding this payment, the entire award for legal and internal costs
remains subject to appeal.
Multiconsult Norge AS has taken steps to secure payment of the awarded but
unpaid amounts, including statutory default interest, by requesting enforcement
measures (NO: begjæring om utlegg). Sotra Link Construction JV ANS has, as an
alternative, offered to provide a bank guarantee for the outstanding appealed
amounts, pending issuance. Multiconsult Norge AS will ensure that appropriate
security is in place pending the appeal proceedings.
Multiconsult will review the appeal and assess any further legal, accounting and
financial implications. Based on the scope of the appeal, Multiconsult maintains
its view that the judgment continues to represent a positive outcome for
Multiconsult.
