Unibap Space Solutions AB ("Unibap") has signed an agreement with a leading space communications provider to collaborate on a 2-satellite mission in 2027.
Unibap will contribute with its next generation high performance computing solutions of hardware and software, as well as its expertise in developing and deploying on-orbit applications.
Combining intersatellite communication with on-orbit high performance computing nodes opens new opportunities. The initial demonstrations will focus on resilient space access, on-orbit analytics, in-space autonomy, and generation and dissemination of low latency space insights. The main use cases for such services can be found in areas like ISR, emergency response, contested environments and missile defense.
