NEL operates in the energy sector. Its main focus is on hydrogen, where the company delivers solutions for the production, storage and distribution of hydrogen from renewable energy. Customers are found in the energy, gas and industrial sectors. A majority of the solutions are based on proprietary fuel cell technology and as components in electric cars. NEL stands for “Norwegian Electrolysis”. The company was originally founded in 1927 and is headquartered in Oslo.
