SalMar is active in fish farming. The largest share of breeding and resale consists of Atlantic salmon. The company conducts operations throughout the value chain, from breeding fish to packaging, processing, distribution, and sales. Operations are conducted on a global level, where a large part of the raw materials are exported. SalMar was established in 1991 and is headquartered in Kverva, Norway.
