Remedy Entertainment is a game developer. Its operations are primarily focused on the development of action games, with a particular focus on 3D technology. Examples of games that the company has developed include several different versions of Alan Wake, Max Payne, and Control. Remedy also develops its own game engine and tooling technology that powers many of its games. The company was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Espoo, Finland.

In my opinion, ARGs and Remedy fit together extremely well as a theme. I’ve been somewhat expecting that Control 2 would include a broader ARG, which would elevate Remedy in this regard to a new level of immortal storytellers. I think that such actions could also spark interest in players who otherwise wouldn’t be interested in Remedy’s games. The minimum goal could be surpassing RedLynx’s Trials Evolution ARG. I re-read the story of Trials Evolution’s ARG for fun, and an interesting detail: the first secret text, critical for the solution, was deciphered by a forum user with the nickname “Murdoc Loch”, a Scottish name which in Finnish would be Meri Järvi (Sea Lake)…

Instead of game releases, Remedy’s visibility could be or include a wild card such as the announcement of Annapurna Pictures’ film/series production. Annapurna acquired the rights a little over a year ago, so things might have moved forward on that front.  However, based on the trademark application, Resonant is clearly a video game, so hopefully the curtains of mystery will open a bit this week. Alan Wake 2 as a free game on EGS would be quite a move from Epic and would certainly spark discussion about Remedy’s future productions.

Very interesting speculation, and we eagerly await what TGA will bring. Could we get Markus Mäki as a guest for a ROAST?

To extend the brand, let’s add more tinfoil hat theories and speculation. Earlier this week, Sami Järvi posted a picture on Instagram with musician Poe (who has made songs for Alan Wake 2, among others) in Los Angeles. It’s hardly a coincidence that Sami is in LA a week before The Game Awards, which are held in the same city. After this, YouTube influencer Jesse Cox published the video below, where he had apparently received an invitation to some kind of secret party, where Sami Järvi and Poe were jamming again. Apparently, Alan Wake 2 fans who solved a riddle related to the Lake House DLC’s “Siren Society” also received an invitation to the event (?). In the Lake House DLC, Poe was, if I recall correctly, also a fictional character in the game world, appearing under the same name in a few lore documents.               A classic ARG (Alternate Reality Game), a classic example of which is some kind of online puzzle, where solvers are rewarded with something in real life. After this, Poe released the song below, which has strong Control vibes.               Is this Sami’s personal enjoyment, fan service, or a Control 2 tease before TGA? Hard to say. Adding more spice to these speculations is the Epic Games Store mystery free game that came to light yesterday, which will be revealed next week in conjunction with TGA   According to this ResetEra thread, some writers believe it could be Alan Wake 2. Now this is getting into outrageous bull-hopium territory, but a free distribution of Alan Wake 2 could be followed by a later Steam release, because at the latest with the free distribution, Epic’s marginal benefits in user acquisition for the Epic Store concerning Alan Wake 2 will be met. However, returning to the real world, based on the information available so far, everything has indicated that a Steam release for the game is not coming. Right down to Tim Sweeney’s confirmed email response. In any case, if Control 2 were to be released (=announced), a free distribution of Alan Wake 2 at this stage would fit very well to generate interest towards the Control sequel. However, so far there are no really credible rumors or news that either Max Payne Remake or Control 2 would be featured at The Game Awards. Small pieces here and there. Personally, however, I consider it very likely that something would be heard about at least one of the games. If I throw in one last tinfoil hat spice, the buyback of own shares ends today, as 50k shares will likely be completed. Is it a coincidence that it’s timed to end a few business days before The Game Awards?

TakeTwo also has other similar development projects in its pipeline, such as Ken Levine’s “Bioshock in space” - JUDAS, which was supposed to be released already in March, but they received an extra year for development. The game’s development is in its final stages, and now that the spring slot has opened up, this would be the safest choice for TakeTwo.               The original Max Payne was released on July 23, 2001. It would be sensible to celebrate the 25th birthday somehow

Remedy&#xa0;<a href="https://www.inderes.se/en/releases/remedy-entertainment-plc-fbc-firebreak-to-launch-worldwide-on-june-17">announced</a> on Thursday evening that FBC: Firebreak will be released on June 17. Our forecasts expected revenue from the game starting from Q3, but now the first revenue euros are already falling in Q2. As a new piece of information, the price of the game&apos;s basic version is now confirmed to be around 40 euros and the Deluxe version 50 euros, which were in line with our expectations. The game will also offer paid Classified Requisitions packs, which include cosmetic armor sets, sound packs, spray patterns, and weapon skins, among other things.
Remedy also confirmed plans for post-launch support: two new missions (called &#x201c;Jobs&#x201d;) will be added to the game in 2025, and more content will be released in 2026. All playable content released after the game&apos;s launch will be free for all players.
