Sitowise Group operates in the construction and infrastructure sector. The company specializes in the development of large construction projects. Examples of projects that the company carries out include road and building construction, as well as pipe and underground construction. The projects are carried out independently and in collaboration with other players in the industry. The largest operations are found in the Nordic market, where customers are found among corporate customers and public actors.

I took advantage of this Black Friday introductory offer. For me, these consulting firms are fundamentally a definite no for my portfolio, but a market capitalization of just under 80 million euros in relation to revenue (of course, on the flip side, also considerable net debt) piqued my interest for a closer look. Usually, the first thing I check with a new prospect is who my business partners are. Therefore, I checked the list of the largest shareholders and its biggest changes. In November, Proprius Partners seems to have disappeared from the list of the 100 largest shareholders. Instead, Erkki Etola has added 378,000 pcs.

Vilppo has prepared a new company report on Sitowise after Q3.  Sitowise’s Q3 result was subdued overall. Finland performed well, but losses in Sweden deepened. At the bottom of the construction cycle, all cash flow is consumed by financing costs, but as demand recovers, results could improve quickly. Here are Vilppo’s comments on the Q3 results.  Sitowise reported a subdued result overall in the morning, which also fell slightly short of our low expectations. The company’s revenue decreased by approximately 3%, and its adjusted EBITA operating profit also declined slightly from a weak comparison period. Based on what was reported, Infrastructure and Digital Solutions continued to perform well, but in Sweden, the trend still appears to be clearly downwards. The outlook remained largely unchanged across different segments, and there was no significant boost to the order book yet either. The Net Debt/EBITDA ratio, which indicates the current weak financial performance, already rose to 7.2x, which is very high and underscores the need for successful profit improvement measures. Sitowise has acquired LandPro Oy, a consulting company specializing in land acquisition for construction projects and marine permitting. LandPro&#x2019;s revenue in 2023 was around 0.9 MEUR This is a small transaction (0.4%) compared to Sitowise&apos;s revenue (2023: 211 MEUR) and has no impact on our forecasts. The purchase price was not disclosed, but we believe Sitowise paid a fair price for the company&apos;s nearly 20% EBIT margin and good growth.&#xa0;
According to the press release, the companies have worked together in the past and the acquisition provides further opportunities to deepen the partnership. Sitowise will now be able to offer a more comprehensive package to its clients in the infrastructure and energy sectors, as the company will also have expertise in permitting and land acquisition. For LandPro, the deal offers excellent resources for growth, as well as access to larger project packages.
