Solar Foods announces a new partner in North America

Solar Foods announced yesterday a partnership with Sensapure Flavors, a US-based flavor and aroma house. The collaboration aims to demonstrate Solein's suitability for various flavor combinations in the food industry and develop products that meet the preferences of consumers in the US. Sensapure Flavors specializes in functional food and beverage flavor solutions and has a customer base that includes manufacturers of sports and wellness products in particular. The partnership is driven by Solar Foods' goal of raising awareness of Solein and making its applications more concrete for food manufacturers. Sensapure will present the first Solein-branded concepts (Solein® Shake and Solein® Protein Drink) at the global food science and innovation expo IFT FIRST in Chicago July 13-16.

This partnership is part of Solar Foods' broader development efforts to support the commercial scaling up and positioning of Solein as an alternative protein in the global food industry. Currently, however, we understand that this project focuses on product development and does not involve commercial deliveries or contracts. We believe the collaboration is a logical continuation of Solar Foods' strategy to transition to commercial partnerships and increase market visibility, especially in North America, one of the company's primary target markets.

Solar Foods established in 2017 is a global leader in sustainable protein production, solving the global food production problem by offering a completely new alternative to existing animal and plant proteins. Solar Foods’ first product is the naturally occurring single-cell protein Solein®, which can be used as a food raw material with high protein content. In the long run, Solein production will improve global availability of protein and increase price and quality stability of food raw materials by disconnecting food production from agriculture.

Of course they want it and of course it has to be researched, since it is a novel food. It’s a completely standard thing.
