Right, sounds logical. The loss of money on this garbage didn’t actually end; instead, there’s even more to pay. Then again, blindly jumping into this scam based on the stories on the Inderes forum deserves to come with a cost. At least I learned not to mess around like this anymore.

Here is a Google translation of the EFN news piece regarding the same report, stating that the investigation into Deloitte’s principal auditor has been ongoing since March. "    The retail investors’ association Aktiespararna reported the auditor of the UV company Intellego to the Swedish Inspectorate of Auditors (RI) in February, after KPMG’s audits indicated that almost all of the company’s revenue in recent years had been fabricated. According to Dagens Industri, the RI has had an ongoing oversight procedure since March against the principal auditor, who is a senior manager at the industry giant Deloitte. The auditor approved Intellego’s most recent annual report, covering the 2024 financial year, without comments. In a statement submitted to the regulatory authority and seen by the newspaper, the Deloitte team is said to have identified several risks prior to the 2024 audit, including the “risk of improper revenue recognition” and the “risk of inadequate financial reporting.” However, Deloitte assessed that these risk areas were not “significant.” The auditor also writes that the audit team identified “irregularities in revenue recognition resulting from manual revenue entry” as a significant risk. Deloitte organized a workshop with a “fraud expert.” Among the participants was Intellego’s founder and then-CEO Claes Lindahl, who is now suspected of several crimes.

Let’s put it this way: if you export even a single batch of supplies classified as medical equipment to China, you’ll end up with a folder full of paperwork—all the permit fees, transport, forwarding, taxes, customs, logistics. The authorities are strict because containers could hold, for example, various chemicals, explosives, carcinogens, drugs, weapons, and all sorts of things, so the contents must be precisely documented, permits obtained, and taxes paid. Even though many things can be digitized, there’s still plenty of paperwork—different paper types, different fonts, stamps, and so on. And for every receipt, there must be an exact counterpart in the monetary traffic. If a single receipt is missing or illegible (in Finland, there is a 10-year retention obligation for receipts), the accountant will demand an explanation: 1. what was bought, 2. how many units, 3. the tax portion, place of purchase, and time. And you have to personally provide a signature, place, and date to certify you are responsible for the content. How is a listed export company supposed to have handled these if no goods were ever even sent and no payment traffic exists for the transfer of goods?  Did they forge all the receipts, folders upon folders, using some professional forger?  Did they open a massive number of accounts in different countries so that payment traffic to those countries could be faked? If a listed company, which has stricter rules, passes through accounting, then someone is breaking the law at some level, because a listed company’s accounting is guaranteed to be licensed and regulated.  Auditing is even more precise; there’s no way it can pass without paperwork and payment traffic.  It is licensed, and authorized accountants guarantee with their signature that it has been done according to the rules. They cannot even approve it if the paperwork and payment traffic do not exist on the scale they should. A special audit, by the world’s largest auditor—how is it possible to pass? This isn’t about some minor adjustment, but paperwork and payment traffic that don’t even exist.  Just as an example: if Deloitte used 3 authorized auditors and they billed 40 hours per person for a listed company’s special audit, how did they spend that time? Playing ping-pong in the breakroom, or could it be that they audited some other company’s accounts during those same billable hours—in plain English, double-billed? It would be good to get these auditors into court to explain in detail how that time was spent if 95% of the accounting is hot air. Deloitte’s response is on the same level as if you were building a detached house and building control, while granting the permit, noted you should move the mailbox 1 meter closer to the plot boundary, while at the same time, most of the house hasn’t even been built. Yes, all authorities and professional companies have responsibility for their actions.  A doctor removes the wrong organ in surgery: Guaranteed to answer to the relatives in court.  An electrician wires the electricity incorrectly and the family’s 3-year-old dies of an electric shock: Guaranteed the company and the installer answer in court.  A plumber fails to crimp a pipe connection properly inside a wall, causing massive water damage to an apartment building, and again, you’re in court. The auditors and others who took our shareholders’ money by billing for work they hadn’t even done, and assured with their own signatures that they were responsible for the audit, must be held accountable.  THIS WAS NOT NEGLIGENCE, BUT DELIBERATE ACTION BY LICENSED COMPANIES AND INDIVIDUALS. I have been the CEO of a small limited company in Finland for 20 years. I don’t know anything about export trade, nor Swedish legislation, but it cannot differ so much from my own business and Finland that this kind of activity would be possible without deliberate action. I currently live in a distant country, but if someone were to investigate whether it’s possible to file a class-action lawsuit on behalf of Finnish shareholders, I’m in.

According to today’s Dagens Industri, Deloitte already warned Intellego’s board in 2024 regarding the preparation of the income statement in the financial reports and recommended that the board take action. It is not clear who exactly received that warning, and Deloitte did not warn the shareholders. The tangle is starting to unravel. "Deloitte already saw deficiencies in the scandal-ridden company Intellego’s revenue recognition procedures in 2024 and recommended the board take several measures. This is stated in a statement to the Swedish Inspectorate of Auditors (Revisorsinspektionen). Despite this, Deloitte’s lead auditor never warned the shareholders."

This is clearly a problem, especially regarding the equity savings account (osakesäästötili); the value of unlisted shares is worth about as much as toilet paper, nobody is buying, and the company has no operations. How could I donate worthless assets to, for example, an organization in Lieksa?
