Luotea is an industrial service company. The company specializes in property service and maintenance, where services include recycling, sewage and damage management, as well as pressure cleaning and property renovation. The company has operations throughout the Nordic market. Luotea was originally founded in 1905 and is headquartered in Helsinki.

Indeed, Luotea was the subject of the first extensive report after the demerger of L&T. The business operations had, of course, been part of L&T’s broader scope even before, but as an independent company, Luotea emphasizes its capital lightness and good cash flow profile. As a net debt-free company, this cash flow could largely be returned as dividends, unless the company makes acquisitions, which I do not believe or hope will happen in the coming years. Profitability has been volatile historically, and currently, Sweden is still operating at a loss, so the main focus, as the video title indicates, is indeed there. If one believes that Sweden will turn profitable, as we do, then the company’s valuation is quite moderate. At the same time, it is naturally important to maintain the good level achieved in Finland. In connection with this report, I updated the model regarding tax assumptions, which led to an increase in earnings per share forecasts, even though I slightly lowered operational forecasts due to factors such as nascent inflation.

That EUR 4 million is a nice sum compared to Luotea’s market capitalization of about EUR 100 million. Of course, due to the complaints, its receipt and amount will only be confirmed sometime in the future. Luotea’s balance sheet or our forecasts did not include expectations for or against compensation in this matter, so this is a plus if it materializes.

Here’s Rauli’s comments on how Luotea received a favorable judgment from the Solna District Court, ordering Micasa Fastigheter to pay the company approximately 4 million euros  Luotea announced on Friday that the Solna District Court had issued a favorable judgment to the company in a dispute concerning the company’s Swedish subsidiary and its former client, Micasa Fastigheter. The District Court ordered Micasa to pay Luotea approximately EUR 4 million in total. We consider the news positive for Luotea, as, if realized, the judgment means a one-time cash flow that is significant relative to the company’s market capitalization of approximately EUR 100 million. The judgment is not yet legally binding, and we assume it will be appealed to the Court of Appeal, so the final decision and the timing of the cash flow are still uncertain.
