A total of 70 right-of-occupancy apartments and 84 senior rental apartments will be completed in Jätkäsaari, Helsinki. In addition, the block will include service facilities for communal activities, as well as commercial premises. The building will have eight residential floors and an underground parking level, on top of which a courtyard deck will be constructed. The scope of the building is over 11,000 gross floor square meters. The work is estimated to be completed in spring 2028.

Located approximately a 10-minute walk from the center of Tampere, the nine-story apartment building will feature 36 new YIT Homes (YIT Kotia). In connection with the construction work, a share of the block’s shared underground parking garage, located beneath the deck courtyard and equipped with charging readiness for electric cars, will also be completed. The value of the project is over EUR 17 million. The YIT Homes at Asunto Oy Tampereen Näsinsäde will be completed in December 2026. YIT has been building apartment buildings in Ranta-Tampella since 2016.

The contract agreement between the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency and YIT was signed on March 5, 2026, and its value is approximately EUR 73 million. The project will be recorded in the order backlog for the first quarter of 2026. Preparatory work will begin during March, and the estimated completion of the contract is in 2029. YIT has been involved in the construction of the project from its beginning and also serves as the main contractor for the excavation contract and as one of the main contractors for area contract 2.

Here are Atte’s preview comments, as YIT publishes its Q4 report on Friday  In our forecasts, the company’s result for the 2025 financial year is heavily weighted toward the fourth quarter due to housing completions. As a result, we expect revenue for the quarter to have returned to growth year-on-year for the first time since 2023. YIT has guided for an adjusted operating profit from continuing operations of EUR 40–60 million for the 2025 financial year. Our full-year forecast is near the upper end of the guidance range (EUR 57 million). Naturally, our interest in the report is focused on the guidance for the current year, for which we expect strong earnings growth from the company.
