COPENHAGEN - April 9, 2026 - 5th Planet Games A/S (OAX: 5PG), the Danish video
game financing and publishing company, today provides shareholders with the
following update about Invincible VS, the upcoming tag fighting video game
co-financed and co-distributed by 5th Planet Games.
Skybound Entertainment's first in-house game development studio Quarter Up
revealed a new Invincible VS Open Beta Trailer marking the start of beta this
weekend during which players will have a chance to suit up and step into the
arena before the game's April 30th global launch. Invincible VS's Open Beta will
run from April 9 (7pm CEST) through April 12 (6am CEST) on Xbox Series X|S and
PlayStation 5.
Mark Stanger, CEO of 5th Planet Games, commented: "The open beta phase in any
video game's development is such an important milestone, and Invincible VS is no
exception. This weekend, Skybound will pull back the curtain for Invincible fans
and fighting game enthusiasts around the world showcasing key parts of the
hand-crafted, authentic experience that the Quarter Up team has worked so hard
to create. It further provides the opportunity to performance test the game
prior to launch, while hopefully getting fans further revved up about what is to
come."
Beta participants can choose from 10 of the 18-launch roster fan-favorite
playable fighters including Mark Grayson (Invincible), Atom Eve, Bulletproof,
Thula, Rex Splode, and more. Participants will experience six unique arenas and
three available modes including Tutorial, Practice Mode, and Ranked Mode. The
top 20 Ranked Mode players during Open Beta will have their names featured as
"Beta Beasts" in the Invincible VS credits.
Open Beta players will also receive a special Omni-Man skin at launch, upgrading
his signature mustache into a full beard - a look inspired by his recent Episode
6 appearance in Season 4 of the hit Invincible animated series on Prime Video.
Invincible VS will launch for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC on April 30,
2026. Physical boxed editions, including a Standard Edition and Collector's
Edition, are now available for pre-order at select global retailers and comic
book shops.
Like in the world of comic books, there will be a total of 4 separate yet
equally stunning variant cover artworks for the Invincible VS Standard Edition
dependent on region. More details about each cover variant and where they are
available can be found in a new blog post from Skybound here.
Co-financier 5th Planet Games will distribute physical editions across the
Nordic region under its partnership agreement with Nordisk Interactive A/S
