A leading international Tier 1 supplier has chosen Diadrom as its integration partner

DIAHPress release29.06.2026 klo 14.30

A leading international Tier 1 automotive supplier has chosen Diadrom to bring 4D radar technology from the car to defence applications. Diadrom provides integration, test and verification, and cybersecurity — and packages the technology as complete systems for defence customers, primes and government agencies.

That a Tier 1 player of this calibre chooses Diadrom is a statement in itself. It confirms Diadrom's role as the integration layer — #DiadromInside — that turns raw sensor data into operational capability. With modern sensor technology, raw data is not the same as capability; value emerges only once systems are integrated, verified and secured so that the whole works together. Nothing works until everything works.

For the customer, the business case is clear. Automotive 4D radar is production-tested at very high volumes and therefore proven in real-world operation — not at the prototype stage. The supply chain is already in place for high volumes, with built-in redundancy. The result: qualified hardware at a fraction of the cost of purpose-built defence sensors, with a security of supply that defence rarely achieves on its own. This addresses the leap from individual demonstrators to scalable, robust production — in a system where Diadrom takes responsibility for the whole.

It is also an important step in Diadrom's evolution towards becoming an independent technical integration partner — a player that combines the best available technology from different suppliers, free of lock-in, and takes responsibility for making the whole work.

"Being chosen by a Tier 1 supplier of this league shows that Diadrom is an independent integration partner to reckon with," says Viktor Eliasson, CEO Diadrom. "We take mature, volume-proven technology and apply it where it delivers the most value — whether that means lifting sensor data into ATAK for situational awareness, or adding radar to combat vehicles, for example, for improved situational awareness. At the same time, it connects Gothenburg's automotive cluster with the defence industry."

The collaboration is at an early stage, at low TRL levels, but it is well timed: national innovation procurements and NATO's DIANA accelerator explicitly seek civilian technology in sensing and cybersecurity that can be translated into military capability.

The same principle applies beyond defence. For vehicle manufacturers struggling to make their own systems and platforms work together, this is precisely the integration, test and verification expertise Diadrom delivers — regardless of domain.
