ACE MFG LLC Orders SinterCast Technology for High-Performance Engine Component Production in the US

SinterCast

Press Release
For Immediate Distribution

  • Mini-System to be installed at ACE MFG LLC, a new prototype facility in Brighton, MI, USA
  • Commissioning in 3Q26 to start producing CGI castings for the high-performance aftermarket, motorsports, and OEM prototyping markets
  • Continued positive outlook for SinterCast installations in 2026

[Stockholm, 4 June 2026] – ACE MFG LLC, a new prototype facility located in Brighton, MI, USA, has acquired a SinterCast licence in preparation for the start of Compacted Graphite Iron (CGI) prototyping and niche volume production. Under terms of the agreement, the Mini-System will be installed at the ACE facility to produce aftermarket CGI components first concentrating on high performance CGI cylinder blocks. The Mini-System is planned to be commissioned during the third quarter of 2026 with full prototyping capabilities available from ACE shortly thereafter. SinterCast will also provide training and technical support for the establishment of a robust CGI prototyping process.

“Casting components made with CGI provide at least 75% higher tensile strength and twice the fatigue life of grey iron resulting in a lighter package built to handle the cylinder pressures that modern high-output engines are generating. After seven years engineering powertrains at SRT and a lifetime in this industry, I know there is real demand for this material across the performance aftermarket, motorsports, and OEM prototyping. Combined with 3D sand printed cores and moulds, the SinterCast system positions ACE to meet that demand with the speed, quality, and flexibility this market requires,” stated Eric Cunningham, President of ACE Inc.

“The ACE MFG order is an excellent addition to the SinterCast customer family. We routinely field requests for options for CGI casting prototypes and niche volume production in the US from OEMs and aftermarket companies” said Dr Vítor Anjos, President and CEO of SinterCast. “We share Eric’s passion for high-performance engines, and we know that CGI is a key material for unlocking higher levels of performance and efficiency.”
