Kanonaden Entreprenad, a subsidiary of AF Gruppen, will build and expand the
switchgear at Odensala station in Sigtuna municipality between Stockholm and
Uppsala. The contract is valued at approximately SEK 162 million, excluding VAT.
The contract is a turn key contract and includes demolition, terracing,
excavation, blasting and concrete work in connection with a new foundation for
the station's switchgear. The assignment is being carried out for Eitech
Engineering AB and the end customer is Svenska Kraftnät.
The new switchgear station is important to meet the growing demand for
electricity in the Uppsala and Stockholm areas. The new facility will have an
area of 192,000 square meters, equivalent to 27 football fields.
