AIX: Time and Klepp Municipalities Sign AI Contracts with Ayfie and Crayon

Ayfie International
Time and Klepp municipalities have signed contracts with Ayfie and their
strategic IT partner Crayon to provide efficient, secure and sovereignty-focused
AI solutions to their employees. The agreements cover initial six-month periods
with options for renewal, and will be delivered together with Crayon to ensure
smooth onboarding and secure operations. The combined contract value for both
municipalities is NOK 206,000 with a total contract of NOK 412,000 pending
renewal

Both municipalities will use Ayfie Business Agent, enabling employees to choose
among market-leading large language models (LLMs), such as ChatGPT, Claude and
Mistral, connected to internal information, files and apps without compromising
security. Time municipality will additionally deploy Ayfie's
Innsynsbegjærings-agent for automated handling of freedom of information
requests, as well as Ayfie's Lovdata MCP integration for direct access to
Norwegian legal sources.

Norwegian municipalities are increasingly adopting Ayfie's AI platform through
partners to enable safe use of AI for their employees. This comes at a time when
public sector organizations are placing greater emphasis on digital sovereignty
seeking practical ways to reduce dependency on large foreign platforms while
keeping control over data, access and governance.

"We are pleased with Time and Klepp municipalities choosing Crayon and Ayfie,
and that the solution meets their requirements very well. Both customers were
looking for a solution that is truly agnostic, and can connect data from their
existing systems without compromising security or sovereignty," said Stig
Carlsen, CEO of Crayon AS.

"Time and Klepp are great examples of how Norwegian municipalities are taking a
pragmatic approach to AI adoption, deploying secure, permission-aware AI that
works across their existing systems. We're proud to deliver this together with
Crayon, through a Made in Norway-certified platform built for responsible AI in
the public sector," said Herman Sjøberg, CEO of Ayfie International.

Ayfie is based on RAG, a Retrieval-Augmented Generation model. This is a
technique in AI that combines two components: a Retriever that searches a large
collection of documents, databases, or knowledge bases and a Generator in the
form of a Large Language Model that uses both the query and the retrieved
documents to generate a more accurate, grounded, and up-to-date response.
Ayfie's RAG model provides an organization with the power of LLMs to process
internal information without compromising information security, confidentiality
and GDPR requirements.
