Alisa Pankki is a Finnish company that conducts banking operations. The bank offers a wide range of financial and corporate finance services. The bank serves private individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises and savers seeking interest on their deposits. The operations are located in Finland, Denmark, Germany and Poland. Alisa Pankki was founded in 2022 after a merger of Fellow Finance and Evli Bank and is headquartered in Helsinki.

I made a sell request myself on February 6th. The funds haven’t arrived in my account yet. My spouse made a request at the end of January, and the money arrived about three weeks later. The order form did state that they aim to return the money within a month of the request. I still have a few days left until that deadline. If the sell order has already been placed, Alisa Bank should have no right to charge service fees. The fact that they would charge a high service fee for an activity (payday loan investing) that hasn’t actually been operational for years is another matter entirely. Perhaps it’s even something the Financial Supervisory Authority (Finanssivalvonta) should focus its attention on.

On 29.1 I made a sell request and on 5.2 the 8€ that had been left in the portfolio at some point was in my OP account.

By the way, does anyone have experience with that selling process? I made a sell request at the beginning of the month, but I haven’t heard anything, and that expensive fee is due to go through tomorrow, even though I’ve been trying to get rid of the account.

Here are Kassu’s comments regarding the CEO’s departure. Alisa Bank announced on Wednesday that the company’s CEO Sampsa Laine is leaving his position immediately. The search process to select a new CEO has been initiated. The bank’s interim CEO will be the Deputy CEO, Kukka Lehtimäki. As previously announced, when Kukka Lehtimäki goes on parental leave, Aki Gynther will start as acting CEO from March 16, 2026. Gynther’s appointment is subject to the approval of the Financial Supervisory Authority (Finanssivalvonta).

Quite impressive conduct from Alisa Bank. Regarding the Fellow Finance business, which was practically shut down several years ago (since there are no new investment loans to invest in), they are threatening to start charging a €20/month investment service fee. In practice, this has just been old loans being paid back to investors. That would be quite an expensive “service” indeed. I have a bit over €10 in receivables left there, so Alisa Bank’s actions feel quite unreasonable. They surely just want to kick their customers out, as they likely sold off that particular loan portfolio. “Investor service pricing changes on March 1, 2026 The investor service will have a monthly fee of €20/month starting March 1, 2026. If you do not wish to continue the service with a monthly fee, you can sell your loan portfolio and withdraw your funds.”

It would be interesting, in terms of further development and growth prospects, to analyze how yields and profitability differ when the company finances small businesses through a partner model compared to the discontinued consumer lending (payday loans). The latter has accounted for a significant portion of the company’s yields in previous financial years. In terms of risk profile, these are very similar, as a small business is essentially the entrepreneur themselves.
