Attendo signs new long-term financing agreement linked to social sustainability

ATTPress release20.08.2026 klo 09.15

Attendo has signed a new long-term financing agreement. The new agreement replaces the existing credit facilities entered in 2023. The interest terms are, as previously, linked to customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction targets supporting Attendo’s long term focus on socially sustainable value creation.

The new agreement includes credit facilities amounting to EUR 100 million and SEK 3.7 billion. The agreement has a term of 3 +1+1 years and also includes a bilateral agreement with Swedish Export Credit Corporation (SEK) amounting to SEK 750 million. The bilateral agreement has a term of 5 years.

The credit facilities are linked to selected sustainability key performance indicators (KPIs). The KPIs are selected based on how Attendo as a major part to society creates value and contributes to the development of society. The KPIs are customer satisfaction (cNPS) and employee satisfaction (eNPS). The new agreement also contains, as before, customary financial commitments, including that Attendo shall fulfil certain financial terms (covenants).

“We are pleased to have signed a new financing agreement together with our banking partners that both strengthens our financial position and provides greater flexibility going forward. The agreement secures a larger financing volume on more attractive terms, creating favorable conditions for continued active capital allocation and the long-term development of our operations,” says Mikael Malmgren, Chief Financial Officer at Attendo.

“It is positive that the agreement continues to support Attendo’s strategic sustainability efforts. High and stable satisfaction among our most important stakeholder groups is central to our approach, and with that the financial results will follow. It is an important confirmation that we create value for both individuals and society,” says Josefine Uppling, Communications and Sustainability Director at Attendo.

When the new financing agreement enters into force, the agreement from 2023 will be repaid ahead of time by loans raised under the new agreement. This means that the result in the second quarter 2026 will be impacted by a one-off write-down of capitalized financing costs of approximately SEK 15 million. The new agreement is expected to recover the one-off impact in less than a year.

The new credit facilities are provided by a lending consortium consisting of Danske Bank, Swedbank AB (publ), Swedish Export Credit Corporation (SEK) and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ) with the latter acting as agent and sustainability coordinator.
