Above all, I think about this from a security perspective. Bittium can make its part secure up to a certain limit when talking about a virtual machine. But managing the security of that “readily available hardware,” for example, regarding components, and configuring the virtualization platform so that it is secure and cannot be used to attack Bittium’s software, is not entirely trivial. In my opinion, this is a good marketing pitch from Bittium and certainly generates interest. I also believe that security-critical organizations know how things should be implemented. I look forward to seeing where this is ultimately implemented.

Yes, exactly. Regarding funds, it’s also good to note that when fund investors redeem their funds, the fund is forced to sell holdings to pay for the redemptions. Fund investors may also not be stock pickers, so the analogy between analysis and the availability of fund holdings is not as straightforward as I see it. It’s unlikely that a fund investor has invested in a fund specifically to own Bittium.

Well, there you go. We can at least draw the conclusion from that analysis that the managers of those funds see the situation differently. So why not do the same yourself? However, these analyses are offered to investors to support their own decisions, and everyone can then draw their own conclusions from such actions. Analyses are often more readily available than individual fund holdings and additions. It’s also good to remember that fund managers (active funds) rarely outperform the index.

Why act against a recommendation like this? This certainly doesn’t increase confidence in OP’s recommendations and generally reduces the inclination to follow recommendations. I myself have succeeded a few times by going against recommendations. However, “everyone” is waiting for the next commercial news from Bittium, and the stock is in a waiting state, meaning it’s unclear which way it will go next. A larger short position has also been opened.

You’re apparently looking at this from an IT professional’s perspective. If and when Bittium makes/made this an off-the-shelf product, similar to their current solutions, then no IT professional is needed for installation. A trained person is sufficient. Everything is still secure because the devices and software are designed so that everyone who has received training can install and maintain it securely. The only difference here is that it operates over a commercial network and with easily available hardware. Not solely within Bittium’s own network created by their devices, but in addition to it.
