Castellum tops sustainability ranking

Castellum

For the eighth consecutive year, Castellum has received top marks in the S&P Corporate Sustainability Assessment (S&P CSA), thereby retaining its position as one of the most sustainable companies in its industry with a fourth place ranking among all property companies globally. Castellum is the only Nordic construction and property company to be included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices, the S&P 500 ESG and the S&P Global 1200 Indices and several other related sustainability indices.

“We have worked on sustainability as an integral part of our operations for many years, and are pleased to have placed so highly in international rankings. Our long-term goals are to continue our contribution to the necessary climate transition in a way that creates value for our customers, employees and investors,” says Joacim Sjöberg, Chief Executive Officer of Castellum Aktiebolag.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices are based on an evaluation that includes such factors as corporate governance, risk management, human rights, climate strategy and work practices. The purpose of the index is to guide investors toward more sustainable investments.

“Sustainable investments have garnered increasing interest in recent years. Green investments will continue to be crucial for complying with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and creating a climate-neutral world,” says Filip Elland, Chief Sustainability Officer for Castellum Aktiebolag.

This year, over 13,000 listed companies participated in the evaluation, and only the best in each industry qualify for inclusion on the index. Only five Swedish companies are represented in this year’s ranking, and once again Castellum is the only Nordic construction and property company to be included on the list of the world’s most sustainable companies. The other Swedish companies on the list are H&M, EQT, Billerud and Viaplay.
