Kimmo Kärkkäinen (b. 1972) has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Digia Plc and a member of the management team. In his role, Kärkkäinen will report to President & CEO Timo Levoranta. He will take up his position by February 2027 at the latest.

"Kimmo's strong experience in financial management and business development provides excellent support for the implementation of Digia's strategy. He brings Digia industry expertise, strong experience in mergers and acquisitions, and experience in building growth companies and new businesses. As an analytical and reform-minded leader, Kimmo will further strengthen our ability to continue our profitable growth journey, which has already lasted for a decade. I warmly welcome Kimmo to Digia," comments Digia's President & CEO Timo Levoranta.

Kärkkäinen will join Digia from Vincit, where he serves as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this, Kärkkäinen has worked as Chief Financial Officer of Fira Group and as Business Director of Sitedrive Oy. He has also worked at private equity company Bocap. In addition, he has been responsible for CFO services at Affecto Plc and worked for more than 10 years at TeliaSonera in various financial management positions.

"Digia has made an impressive journey as a profitable growth company, and it has a strong position in the Finnish software and services market. I am excited to join Digia in building its next phase. As Chief Financial Officer, I want to support the implementation of the strategy and the growth of shareholder value together with a skilled team," comments Kimmo Kärkkäinen.

Kärkkäinen will succeed Kristiina Simola, who, as announced on 21 April 2026, will leave her position to pursue a career as a board professional. Simola will continue as Digia's Chief Financial Officer during the transition period until Kärkkäinen takes up the position.
