<div class="abstract">Electric vehicle innovator Clean Motion AB&nbsp;announces key progress as the&nbsp;EU Horizon Europe project GIANTS (Green Intelligent Affordable New Transport Solutions)&nbsp;reaches its halfway point. The project, which runs from January 2024 to June 2027, brings together 24 partners across Europe, Asia, and Africa to design a modular, scalable, and frugal zero-emission L-type vehicle platform for urban and suburban mobility.</div>The GIANTS project aims to close the gap between small, single-purpose light vehicles and overengineered transport solutions, developing an affordable and fully adaptable platform that can serve diverse markets, from European city logistics to emerging-market passenger transport. Clean Motion plays a central role in this effort, leveraging its expertise in lightweight electric vehicle design through its&nbsp;EVIG platform."The GIANTS platform is now fully specified and currently undergoing evaluation," says William Collings, CTO at Clean Motion. "This stage is a pivotal transition from planning to physical testing. Together with partners like Valeo, we're validating different configurations on custom-built test benches. The next step is preparing materials and assembly for the demonstration vehicles. It's incredibly rewarding to see how collaboration and frugal innovation can accelerate the global shift to clean mobility."As the project enters its second half, activity now focuses on building and testing demonstration vehicles at Living Labs in&nbsp;Gothenburg, Brugge, Kisumu, Delhi, and Manila.
