Crayon's climate targets successfully validated by the Science Based Targets initiative

Crayon Group Holding

(OSLO, Norway) - 4 September 2025 - Crayon, a global leader in IT services and innovation, today announced its ambitious greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets have been officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

The SBTi plays a vital role in combating climate change by ensuring corporate climate action is grounded in scientific recommendations.

The SBTi evaluated Crayon's Scope 1, 2, and 3 near-term targets and determined that Crayon's targets are in line with the latest climate science to limit global warming as outlined in the Paris Agreement.

"With bold science-based targets, we aim to do our part for the planet while growing our business," said SoftwareOne Co-CEO Melissa Mulholland. "Thank you to everyone who has worked diligently to power our mission forward."

Crayon has committed to reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 58.8% by FY2034 from a FY2023 base year. Crayon will also reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions 63.8% per million NOK value added within the same time frame. More details on Crayon's targets are on the SBTi website: https://sciencebasedtargets.org/target-dashboard

"Addressing greenhouse gas emissions and climate-related risk is a component of our global ESG strategy," said Fadzai Munyaradzi, Crayon's Vice President of Environmental, Social, and Governance. "The validation of our emissions reduction targets by the SBTi is an important milestone which we celebrate, keenly aware our decarbonization efforts must continue."

Crayon combined with SoftwareOne to create one company on 3 July 2025. Given the recency of the transaction's conclusion and the ongoing integration, Crayon and SoftwareOne have opted to set separate science-based targets in the interim. SoftwareOne's science-based targets will be communicated in a separate press release on the company's website.
