The Board of Directors of Elektroimportøren AS and CEO Andreas Niss have agreed
that Mr. Niss will step down from his position as Chief Executive Officer. The
decision follows a joint assessment that the company is now positioned for its
next growth phase and that a leadership transition is timely.
Mr. Niss has led the company for 11.5 years. Under his leadership,
Elektroimportøren has grown more than tenfold in turnover and developed from a
local player into a Scandinavian company. Over the past year the company has
taken strategic steps to establish a foundation for renewed growth and
profitability both in Norway and Sweden.
Chairman of the board Karin Bing Orgland states:
"Andreas has played a central role in building the company into what it is
today. We thank him for his efforts over the past decade and that over the last
2 years he has managed a turnaround process bringing the company from red to
black figures.
We wish him all the best in his next chapter."
Andreas Niss comments:
"Leading Elektroimportøren for more than ten years has been a real privilege.
Together with a great team of colleagues, we have challenged a conservative and
well-established market and shown that being close to our customers - and
delivering with strong competence and professionalism - truly matters.
We have built a new kind of retail and wholesale experience for both private and
professional customers, and we have successfully taken the concept into new
markets. I am proud of what we have achieved, and confident that the company is
well positioned for the next phase of growth and improved profitability.
Together with the Board, I have concluded that this is the right time for me to
move on."
Andreas will stay in his current role until 15th of May 2026. The process to
identify a new CEO will commence immediately.
