Here are Aapeli’s quick comments on the results.  Enersense released its Q4 report this morning. The operational earnings performance of the company’s core businesses fell slightly short of our expectations, while the reported result dropped deep into the red due to negative one-off items. Due to the numerous negative one-offs, interpreting the figures still requires more detailed analysis. A positive aspect of the report was that the company had progressed faster than targeted in the implementation of the Value Uplift program and simultaneously raised the program’s overall target. The earnings guidance range provided for the current year was, on the other hand, roughly in line with our forecasts. There were no major surprises in the market outlook, and we believe the demand situation can be expected to continue as a whole at least moderately well. Enersense announced this morning that it has agreed with the energy company Helen on an extension of the operation and maintenance agreement for the years 2027–2028. Enersense has been responsible for the operation and maintenance of Helen’s district heating and cooling production and distribution since 2022. The newly signed two-year extension agreement was included as an option in the original contract. The value of the agreement is over EUR 30 million, and it will be recorded in the Energy Transition business unit’s Q1’26 order backlog. <div class="mfn-header mfn-header-finland"><p>Enersense International Plc | Press Release | March 06, 2026 at 08:00:00 EET</p></div><div class="mfn-preamble"><p><em><strong>Enersense has signed a framework agreement with distribution system operator Elektrilevi covering the maintenance and construction of the electricity network in Western Harju County. The agreement includes responsibility for 2,000 kilometres of overhead lines, 2,100 kilometres of cable lines, and 1,800 substations in the region.</strong></em></p></div><div class="mfn-body"><p>Under the contract, Enersense will carry out network repairs and construction work, fault resolution, and scheduled maintenance. The scope also includes preparing technical solutions and designs, maintaining substations and power lines, and ensuring network reliability in line with service orders.</p><p>According to<strong> Veiko Natus</strong>, Manager of the Northern Region at Enersense Estonia, the agreement continues a long-standing partnership in the area.</p><p>“We are grateful for Elektrilevi’s trust in Enersense and look forward to continuing our close cooperation. For decades, we have helped ensure reliable electricity distribution in Western Harju County. Together with our skilled experts, we work every day to safeguard this essential service across the region,” says Natus.</p><p>The whole framework agreement for the maintenance of Elektrilevi’s network is worth EUR 9 million, and it’s shared between two companies: Enersense and E-Service.</p><p>The value of the agreement for Enersense is approximately EUR 4.6 million, and it runs until 2030.
