GreenMobility enters strategic partnership with WeRide to bring the first fully driverless cars to Denmark

GREENMRegulatory press release03.08.2026 klo 07.59

Company Announcement no. 211 – 2026

Copenhagen, August 3, 2026

GreenMobility enters strategic partnership with WeRide to bring the first fully driverless cars to Denmark

GreenMobility A/S (Nasdaq Copenhagen: GREENM) has entered into a strategic partnership with WeRide (Nasdaq: WRD, HKEX: 0800), a global leader in autonomous driving technology, to deploy autonomous shared mobility services in Denmark.

First fully driverless cars in Denmark

The partnership combines WeRide's globally validated Level 4 autonomous driving technology with GreenMobility's local fleet operations and shared mobility expertise, making the companies the first to pursue commercial autonomous mobility deployment in Denmark, subject to regulatory approvals.

Unlike the Level 2 driver-assist systems already on the market, which require a human driver behind the wheel constantly monitoring the road, this partnership is based on WeRide´s advanced Level 4 technology, in which the shared vehicle handles all aspects of driving without a human driver.

Aimed launch in H1 2027

Under the partnership, the companies aim to launch public service in the first half of 2027, and all riders will be able to request a ride fulfilled by the autonomous GXR, WeRide´s latest generation, EU-compliant fully self-driving vehicle.

The project will be developed in close collaboration with the Danish Road Directorate (Vejdirektoratet), the Danish Road Traffic Authority (Færdselsstyrelsen), and other relevant national and local authorities, with all testing and deployment conducted in accordance with applicable Danish and EU regulations.

Next growth phase for GreenMobility

Kasper Gjedsted, Group CEO of GreenMobility, said: “GreenMobility has built operational excellence across millions of shared car trips in Denmark. This partnership lets us take that experience directly into our next growth phase in autonomous mobility. We are proud to team up with a world-class partner like WeRide, whose technology is among the most advanced in the industry, as we together plan to bring autonomous shared vehicles to Denmark.”

The partnership with WeRide marks an important milestone in the execution of GreenMobility's strategy towards 2028, communicated in late 2025, under which autonomous shared mobility was identified as a key growth driver for the Company. Additional information on the launch of the autonomous shared mobility services in Denmark will be communicated in the coming months.
