JonDeTech's prototype development for wearables with JIRS30 has made significant progress

JDTPress release27.09.2024 klo 14.30

JonDeTech Sensors AB (publ) ("JonDeTech" or the "Company") announced on August 5, 2024, that the Company had been selected by a world-leading electronics manufacturer to develop several prototypes for various wearable products. JonDeTech has made significant progress in developing the prototypes in collaboration with the Company's South Korean partner TecAhead Inc ("TecAhead"). The prototypes use JonDeTech's proprietary sensor JIRS30 to measure body temperature with high precision and can be integrated into wearable products such as earbuds, smartwatches, and fitness trackers.

The prototype project, which started in August this year and is led by JonDeTech's development team, is on track for launch during the fourth quarter of 2024. The hardware is now fully developed, and the remaining work focuses on finalizing and optimizing the algorithm required to ensure accurate body temperature measurement using the JIRS30 sensor.

Delivery of the finished prototype to the first customers is expected by the end of 2024, and work is now continuing to fine-tune and adapt software and algorithms to further improve functionality.

"We see this as a very interesting project together with TecAhead, driven by major players in the region. With our proprietary JIRS30 sensor in the prototype, we position ourselves as a natural partner in body temperature measurement and presence detection for both consumer electronics and industry," says JonDeTech's CEO, Leif Borg.
