The Board of Directors of Jumpgate AB has appointed Florian Bohn as Chief Executive Officer of Jumpgate AB, effective October 1st, 2026. The appointment is part of a planned evolution of Jumpgate’s executive leadership, developed in close cooperation between the Board of Directors, Harald Riegler and Florian Bohn, to ensure a seamless handover and continued execution of the company's strategy.
As part of this planned transition, Harald Riegler will assume the role of Chief Business Officer (CBO), enabling Jumpgate to further leverage his strengths in strategic business development, partnerships and long-term growth initiatives. Riegler recommended Bohn to the Board as his successor and will continue to serve as a major shareholder, member of the Board of Directors and member of the executive management team, ensuring strong continuity in Jumpgate’s strategic direction.
The transition reflects the company’s intention to align executive responsibilities with the areas where each member of the leadership team can create the greatest value. Following the successful completion of key restructuring measures in recent years, Jumpgate is now entering its next phase with a strengthened focus on profitable growth, strategic partnerships, operational excellence and long-term shareholder value.
Bohn, who currently serves as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, has played a central role in executing Jumpgate’s transformation over the past several years. During this period, the company has significantly reduced its cost base, streamlined its organisational structure and established a more focused operational foundation for future growth.
The leadership transition is accompanied by a strengthened executive management team. Patrick Streppel will continue in his role as Chief Product Officer, while Kristoffer Funseth has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and Julian Bock has been appointed Chief Operating Officer. Funseth brings extensive experience as a Chief Financial Officer, including within the games industry, while Bock contributes significant operational and product development expertise, having previously served as Director of Product Development at Plaion. Together, they complement Jumpgate’s leadership team and further strengthen the organisation for its next phase of growth.
With extensive international management experience, Bohn has successfully led transformation and growth initiatives throughout his career. The Board believes that, with Jumpgate’s operational foundation strengthened, the company is well positioned to enter its next phase with a clear focus on profitable growth and long-term value creation.
Viktor Modigh, Chairman of the Board, commented:
“Over the past years, Harald has led Jumpgate through an important transformation period and remains deeply committed to the company as Chief Business Officer, Board member and major shareholder. This planned transition allows Jumpgate to benefit even more directly from Harald’s strengths in business development, partnerships and long-term strategic opportunities.
Florian has worked closely with Harald and the Board for nearly four years and has made a significant contribution to Jumpgate’s transformation. His understanding of the business, combined with his operational and financial experience, makes him perfectly suited to lead the company into its next phase of development. Among other things especially his former experience at Travian Games, where he successfully scaled the organisation while delivering highly profitable growth, further reinforces our confidence in his ability to build on the foundation now established.”
Harald Riegler, incoming Chief Business Officer, said:
“I am proud of what we have accomplished together over the past years. Jumpgate has gone through a significant transformation, and I believe this is the right time to align our leadership responsibilities with the company’s next phase of development.
The area where I can create the greatest value for Jumpgate is strategic business development, partnerships and long-term growth opportunities. Taking on the role of Chief Business Officer allows me to focus directly on these priorities while continuing to support the company in my other aforementioned roles.
Florian is the perfect choice as my successor. I have been consistently impressed by his leadership, execution capabilities and strategic vision. Florian and I have worked closely together for several years, built a strong relationship, and I look forward to continuing that collaboration in a structure that allows both of us to focus on the areas where we can contribute most effectively to Jumpgate’s continued growth.”
Florian Bohn, incoming CEO, commented:
“Over the past years, we have successfully transformed Jumpgate into a leaner, more focused and operationally stronger company. We have reduced costs, optimised our organisation and positioned our studios for sustainable success. Today, our group consists of highly specialised, high-performing development teams with decades of game development expertise.
As a flexible and independent studio group, Jumpgate is well positioned to benefit from the opportunities created by artificial intelligence while combining them with the deep industry experience of our veteran teams. I am also delighted to continue working closely with Kristoffer and Julian in their expanded leadership roles. Having worked together for several years — Kristoffer for more than three years and Julian for over a year — they have already made valuable contributions to Jumpgate and know our business and studios well.
Together with Patrick and Harald, we have a strong management team with the experience and capabilities to drive Jumpgate’s next phase of development. I look forward to leading the company with a clear focus on profitable growth, operational excellence supported by artificial intelligence and creating long-term value for our shareholders.”
