After the notice convening the AGM, the Nomination Committee continued its search for an additional Board member and has in this process looked for a person with experience from the airline industry. The Nomination Committee has now therefore decided to propose Kay Kratky, born 1958, as new Board member of SAS AB.Kay Kratky is currently a member of the executive board of the Austrian Aviation Association, president of the Aviation Initiative for Renewable Energy in Germany e.V. and chairman of the advisory board of Caphenia GmbH, a company producing CO2 reduced fuels. After studying mechanical engineering in Technische Hochschule Darmstadt, he started his career at Lufthansa as first officer and subsequently captain. Kay Kratky held a number of leading positions during his years with the Lufthansa Group including the role as Chief Operating Officer.
