Nexam Chemical strengthens Eastern European platform through capacity expansion and increased commercial momentum

Nexam Chemical

Nexam Chemical is strengthening its position in Eastern Europe through the commissioning of additional production capacity and a rebalancing of its regional manufacturing footprint, while seeing continued strong commercial momentum across the region.

Sales in Poland have increased by approximately 30 percent year-to-date, albeit from relatively low levels, while order intake in both Poland and Hungary is at high levels. The company has also recently appointed an agent in Romania, where market activity is already developing positively.

As part of its operational development, Nexam Chemical has relocated and upgraded production assets between its sites in Sweden, Hungary and Poland. In parallel, a newly commissioned production line is increasing local capacity and enabling more efficient handling of growing order volumes.

The coordinated manufacturing setup allows for increased flexibility between sites and strengthens the company's ability to respond rapidly to customer needs. In practice, this enables the Polish organization to handle larger and more variable order volumes than previously.

These operational improvements are supported by strong and broadening commercial momentum across the region and reflect a broader shift from individual market efforts to a more integrated regional approach.

Hungary continues to play a key role as a platform for regional growth, having delivered strong and stable expansion over several years, including a significant increase in turnover over recent years. The experience and capabilities built in Hungary are now being leveraged to support further development across Eastern Europe.

In addition, Nexam Chemical is seeing a clear increase in activity within recycling applications in the region. While historically limited, the number of customer cases in this area is growing, reflecting rising demand for improved material performance in recycled plastics.

"We are now moving from isolated market efforts to a coordinated regional platform. By optimizing our manufacturing footprint and adding capacity, we are significantly improving our ability to respond to customer demand. At the same time, activity is increasing in areas such as recycling, where our technology is well positioned," says Ronnie Törnqvist, CEO of Nexam Chemical.

Nexam Chemical expects the positive development in Eastern Europe to continue, supported by ongoing investments in local capabilities and increasing demand for high-performance and sustainable material solutions.
