On 24 October, Pagero announce its strategic expansion into Japan to better serve local and multinational businesses implementing the `Qualified Invoice System'.
In 2021 a new input tax credit method known as the `Qualified Invoice System' was announced for implementation from 1 October 2023 by the Japanese authorities. The system will allow taxpayers to claim Japanese Consumption Tax (JCT) input credit from JCT-registered vendors, with Peppol e-invoicing as the recommended format by the Japan Digital Agency (JDA).
Following the hiring of Yukihiro Ieda earlier in the year, Pagero held an opening seminar in Tokyo, Japan in October to announce its expansion into the Japanese market and commitment to serve customers in Japan.
