Remedy Entertainment is a game developer. Its operations are primarily focused on the development of action games, with a particular focus on 3D technology. Examples of games that the company has developed include several different versions of Alan Wake, Max Payne, and Control. Remedy also develops its own game engine and tooling technology that powers many of its games. The company was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Espoo, Finland.

For a change, they could try a co-op multiplayer shooter.

Isn’t this Control Resonant precisely a leap into a new game concept, a melee-based action RPG? It has skill trees and everything. It should, at least in theory, appeal to a larger player base.

Limited companies are supposed to make money, and this one hasn’t succeeded, so the share price drop is completely justified. There’s not much faith that it will in the future either… but that’s usually the best time to buy… a little more for the portfolio. I still consider this a potential success and a quality game developer, but isn’t that scene just not appealing enough to players? Should they also try making a slightly different type of game concept?

What a crappy show, and we didn’t see Resonantia, so we’ll have to see where we hear more about it.

After the previous CEO’s last few years, it’s good if the CEO focuses on doing rather than talking. From the CEO’s perspective, they should thoroughly familiarize themselves with the company and its culture, fulfill investor obligations (general meeting, annual report, Q1 report) even before Resonant, while the overwhelmingly most important task now is to achieve a successful global launch for Resonant. Until he gives reason for criticism with his actions - I’d say let him cook. After Resonant, there will be time for interviews, either from the limelight or the circus, depending on the outcome.  I wish I could refuse this indirect church tax for 2026. It seems I have no choice but to turn the other cheek.

The stock is indeed YTD -25%, even though an important major release is coming very soon… The new CEO, Jean-Charles Gaudechon, is at least keeping a “low profile,” and it’s hard to find any news about him related to Remedy, or much else for that matter.

As mentioned, the stock has dropped quite a bit. At the same time, Remedy’s most important game is just around the corner, which made me think it might be interesting to predict the stock price at the end of the year. I think we will see a lot of movement in both directions.
