Veidekke: Building nursing home and emergency clinic in Porsgrunn

Veidekke
Veidekke has signed an agreement with Porsgrunn municipality to construct a new
environmentally certified building, comprising an additional wing at Mule
nursing home and a new emergency clinic serving the municipalities of Porsgrunn
and Bamble. The turnkey contract is valued at NOK 261 million, excluding VAT.

"We are proud to enter into this agreement with Porsgrunn municipality to build
a nursing home and emergency clinic, and we are very grateful for the
assignment. In recent years, we have developed strong expertise in constructing
healthcare facilities, and this project fits well into our portfolio of public
projects," says Lars N. Hjertås, District Manager at Veidekke Building Vestfold
and Telemark.

The new facility will cover a gross area of 7,650 m² across four floors and a
basement. It will include 64 new resident rooms with various functions for Mule
nursing home, as well as a new emergency clinic for residents of both Porsgrunn
and Bamble. The building will be connected to the existing nursing home, which
will remain fully operational throughout the construction period. The project
will be certified under BREEAM-NOR "Very Good", ensuring high environmental
standards.

"Veidekke won the competition based on both price and quality, and Porsgrunn
municipality looks forward to collaborating with Veidekke on this exciting
project," says Ole Henrik Lia, Property Manager at Porsgrunn municipality.

Concrete and carpentry work will be carried out by Veidekke's local skilled
workers and apprentices, supporting employment and skills development in the
region. Construction is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026, with
completion planned for the third quarter of 2027.

The assignment will be included in Veidekke's order backlog for the fourth
quarter of 2026.
