Wavetrain Systems Enters Agreement for its AI-powered LCWS in Sweden

Nordic Technology Group

Wavetrain Systems AS, a subsidiary of Nordic Technology Group AS (NTG), is pleased to announce that it has entered into a project agreement with Skyltfonden in Sweden for the trial of its advanced acoustic‑based Level Crossing Warning System (LCWS). The system will be deployed in Trafikverket’s existing network as part of a structured trial and evaluation process, supporting potential broader adoption within the Swedish rail network.

By entering into this agreement with Skyltfonden, Wavetrain expands into a key Nordic rail market with high safety standards and a strong focus on cost‑effective, scalable solutions.

This trial deployment provides a low‑risk, high‑value opportunity to demonstrate real‑world performance under Nordic operating conditions, strengthen Wavetrain’s European reference base. Successful validation will contribute to further European cross‑acceptance, supporting Wavetrain’s continued expansion across the region.

The deployment in Sweden leverages Wavetrain’s latest AI and Machine Learning‑enhanced acoustic detection platform, validated through extensive testing and CENELEC SIL2 certification. The system is designed for rapid installation directly at the level crossing, with minimal lineside works or signalling integration.
