Xer Tech Holding AB (publ): Xer Technologies AG Announces Participation at REPMUS 2026 to Demonstrate Advanced Naval Mine Detection and Electronic Warfare Capabilities

XERPress release26.08.2026 klo 10.00

Xer Technologies AG today announces its participation in the upcoming Robotic Experimentation and Prototyping with Maritime Unmanned Systems (REPMUS) 2026 exercise.

Taking place in the Portuguese exercise areas of the North Atlantic from 31st August to the 25th of September 2026, REPMUS is jointly organised by the Portuguese Navy (PRT Navy), the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), the NATO Science and Technology Organisation - Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation (STO-CMRE), the NATO Joint Capability Group for Maritime Unmanned Systems (JCGMUS) and the European Defence Agency (EDA). It is a unique multinational exercise dedicated to demonstrating a broad range of unmanned maritime systems capabilities, with a particular focus on interoperability, autonomous operations, and coalition collaboration.

Xer Technologies previously participated in REPMUS 2024 and 2025, successfully demonstrating topobathymetric shoreline mapping in support of amphibious landing operations, as well as conducting vessel-based operations from an Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV). These activities were carried out under the sponsorship of the Portuguese Navy and the armasuisse Science and Technology (S+T) of the Swiss Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS), in charge of the national team lead for Switzerland, showcasing the operational value of the company's long-endurance uncrewed aerial system in maritime environments.

As part of its ongoing commitment to validating the real-world performance and operational effectiveness of the X8 PRO long-endurance multicopter, Xer Technologies AG will participate in REPMUS 2026 under the umbrella of the Swedish Navy and armasuisse S+T of the DDPS as national lead - Team Switzerland, alongside other international defence stakeholders. During the exercise, Xer Technologies will demonstrate advanced naval mine detection capabilities, leveraging electronic warfare-related technologies to detect, classify, and geolocate relevant targets. These demonstrations will further highlight the X8 PRO's ability to support maritime security and defence operations in complex operational environments.

Xer Technologies CEO Statement.

"REPMUS provides an unmatched opportunity for Xer Technologies to demonstrate the X8 PRO's capabilities in the maritime domain. Previous editions of REPMUS have enabled us to validate our system in demanding, real-world operational conditions, reinforcing its performance and reliability. REPMUS 2026 marks another significant milestone, providing the opportunity to showcase the X8 PRO's integration and application of advanced electronic warfare technologies in a complex maritime environment," said Erik Herlyn, CEO, Xer Technologies AG.
