Bravedo is a Nordic group providing staffing and technology services. CapMan Buyout invested in Forenom in 2016 to accelerate the company’s growth and support international expansion in the Nordic countries. During CapMan Buyout’s ownership, Forenom’s revenue has tripled, and the company has grown from a Finnish operator into a leading Nordic service provider. Today, the company’s portfolio comprises over 9,000 furnished apartments, aparthotels, and hostel rooms across all major Nordic cities and Germany. Forenom operates with more than 30 local offices and over 500 employees. Forenom is the final exit for the CapMan Buyout X fund. The fund was established in 2012.

As far as I know, Frimodig still has ownership through Silvertärnan AB as well? This is an investment company that is Capman’s largest shareholder. Capman gets a perfect score for responsibility, but a D- for the success of its own investment activities. When reviewing old assets from annual reports, by far the best investment has been external VC funds - so, as I understand it, funds that Capman does not manage itself at all? For example, from artificial snags, bogs, restoration… Managing forest assets, on the other hand, is normal forest ownership. That’s exactly what I was thinking, that it’s jargon without concrete meaning.

They apparently refer to the Natural Capital segment: ”Our operations focus on managing sustainable forest investments, natural sites, and forest carbon sinks, as well as developing value in Europe and emerging markets. We consider investing in forest assets and natural resources to be a responsible activity for the environment and people, promoting sustainable, low-carbon development and generating returns for investors. CapMan expanded its operations into natural resource investing by acquiring Dasos Capital in early 2024.” Dasos states on its website that ”The company is an investment advisor to private equity funds investing in sustainable forests and natural capital (land, biodiversity, climate, water, etc.). Its fund investors include European pension funds and endowments, family offices and other investors. Assets under management total over EUR 1.5 billion.”
