Enento Group operates in the IT sector. The group is dedicated to developing digital information services that affect risk management, decision-making, sales and marketing. Now that software companies are taking a beating in AI speculation, it would be interesting to hear views on how AI affects Enento. I think I know enough to say that Enento’s subsidiaries aren’t very easily replaced in areas like credit inquiries, and over time Enento has built up a valuable proprietary database that won’t be replaced by AI—perhaps. Additionally, Enento’s industry is highly regulated. But still, with the share price sliding ahead of Friday’s earnings report… I’m asking whether Enento is a winner or a potential price cutter in the coming years, as AI and its agents replace data searches and reasoning chains? I would also like to see the Inderes analyst include questions related to this theme in the next Enento CEO interview.

We expect Enento’s reported revenue to have grown modestly at the end of the year, supported by exchange rates, and the operating result to have improved slightly from the comparison period. We have added some one-off costs to our Q4 forecasts due to the change negotiations conducted by the company in late 2024. In the report, attention will focus particularly on the first comments from the new CEO, who started in early January, as well as the outlook for 2026. In the operating environment, there are no major reasons for celebration yet, especially in Finland, but in Sweden, the economic environment is showing signs of picking up. In our view, the company should have the prerequisites for modest growth and earnings improvement this year.

According to Nordea’s Frank Vang-Jensen, corporate credit volumes grew by 8% year-on-year in Q4/25. The KL article mentions that Sweden in particular drove the growth, but growth was seen across all Nordic countries. According to Vang-Jensen, Sweden’s personal customer business grew significantly compared to the comparison period. In Finland, sentiment is improving on the corporate credit side, but it remained quiet on the consumer side. Assuming that the development seen by Nordea also applies to other banking players, Enento’s transaction-based billing would be expected to have grown in Q4/25. I don’t think anything surprising came up in the call. The new CEO introduced himself and hinted that they are looking for growth in the future. The CFO provided the business update this time as well, and it contained no surprises. Guidance will be met. The most interesting question came from an OP analyst. In Sweden, the economy has already been growing at 1.5%, and the government is stimulating the economy in many ways, including lowering the VAT on food. The question was whether the recovery of the Swedish economy is visible in Enento’s data yet. The answer was: not yet, at least. We’re waiting for the financial statement and targets for the current year.

After our forecast cuts, the valuation for 2024 is rather neutral due to short-term challenges (adj. P/E 18x and EV/EBIT 13x). Looking one year ahead, the situation looks brighter, when the valuation (adj. P/E 13x and EV/EBIT 11.6x) is already at an attractive level, which is why we still consider the share’s risk/return ratio good. </p>
